3 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson went 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored in a loss to the Tigers on Wednesday. Olson got the scoring started with a sacrifice fly in the first inning. He broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning with a two-run double and came around to score one batter later when Jed Lowrie also doubled. Olson ranks eighth in baseball with a .550 slugging percentage and fantasy managers should expect that type of power production down the stretch as he's making hard contact nearly 50% of the time with a healthy 13.2% barrel rate. He's a must-start first baseman regardless of matchup.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
