Matt Olson Launches Solo Homer In Loss To Yankees
4 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a 2-1 loss to the Yankees on Sunday. Olson took left-hander Jordan Montgomery deep in the first inning with a moonshot homer to center field. The lefty-slugger just missed another homer later in the game, but still had a big series in New York, collecting six hits and two homers in the three-game set. Olson is slugging .617 this season and his 20 homers rank fourth in baseball. He's a must-start option heading into a road series against the Rangers.
