Matt Olson Mired In Hitting Slump
3 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson, who went 0-for-3 on Friday against the Red Sox, is mired in a slump. Olson, who has two hits in 24 at-bats (.083) with no home runs or RBI over his last seven games, is set to face Boston right-hander Garrett Richards in Saturday night's game. The left-handed slugger can be streaky, but he is still on pace for a career year. Olson has hit 20 home runs with a .284/.371/.931 slash line in 78 games. We wouldn't recommend insulting your league mates with a low-ball offer, but Olson could make a good buy-low candidate while he is running cold.
