4 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson (hand) is in the starting lineup and batting fifth versus the Tigers on Thursday. Olson was out of the lineup after being hit by a pitch in the hand on Monday. Olson is off to a slow start this season with just one homer and a .226 batting average. Things should turn around for him, however, as he's hitting the ball as hard as anyone. His 94.6 MPH average exit velocity is in the top seven percent of all qualified hitters and he's still taking his walks with an 8.1 percent walk rate. He'll face a lefty tonight in Detroit's Tarik Skubal, but Olson can still be inserted back into fantasy lineups in all formats.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
