5 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson has just one hit in his first 10 Spring Training at-bats and has four strikeouts in that span. The sample size is obviously small and Olson should be ready to mash once the games count. Statcast loved Olson last season, he finished in the top-seventh percentile or better in hard-hit rate (50.3%), average exit velocity (91.9 MPH) and barrel rate (14.5%), so he should put up big power numbers this year. If he continues to hit the ball as well as he did last season, he'll be a value at his average draft position of 65th overall.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
