3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Ryan has been consistently receiving praise from coaches and teammates since the team began offseason workouts. Tight end Mo Alie-Cox stated, "With Matt, the ball is out. You come out of your break and you better be ready — cuz it's not a slow, turn your head (and wait) ... like you turn your head and the ball is gonna be on point." Alie-Cox also referenced Ryan's leadership and ability to command the offense, suggesting it reminded him of former Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. Even at age 37, Ryan could provide a substantial upgrade to his predecessor, Carson Wentz. Ryan was only the QB19 last year (Wentz was QB13), but the weapons and protection are much better in Indianapolis than they were for Ryan in Atlanta. While Ryan himself is unlikely to have tremendous fantasy value outside of two-QB and best-ball formats, he gives the skill position players intriguing upside, led by third-year wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr.--Dessy John
