Matt Ryan Unlikely To Be Dealt
3 years agoInquiring NFL teams are getting the distinct impression that Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan won't be traded. It shouldn't come as a big surprise, as the Falcons remain high on Ryan as he heads into his 15th NFL season in 2022. Atlanta hasn't ruled out bringing in a new quarterback through the draft or free agency, but Ryan remains under contract for the next two seasons. If he were to be traded, it would likely come after June so that the team could split the dead salary cap money over two years. The 36-year-old signal-caller threw for 3,968 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and spent the vast majority of the season without his No. 1 receiver in Calvin Ridley. At best, Ryan will be taken as a low-ceiling QB2 in fantasy this fall.
