7 years agoLos Angeles Angels starter Matt Shoemaker (forearm) played catch on Saturday, his first time since his rehab stalled back on May 6. The specialist that Shoemaker saw said he will better be able to identify the source of Shoemaker's pain if he activates his arm, so now that he has thrown, he will be re-examined on Monday. From there, the Angels will know more about his expected timetable. For now, Shoemaker should be off the fantasy radar in all formats. If he is able to return to the hill this season, he could be worth a look in very deep leagues.--patton
