4 years agoSan Diego Padres left-handed pitcher Matt Strahm was placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Friday’s contest against San Francisco due to inflammation in his right knee. Strahm has proven to be a critical cog in the Padres’ bullpen this season, having compiled a 2.84 ERA and 0.84 WHIP across 19 innings. Luis Perdomo was recalled from the club’s alternate site to take Strahm’s place on the active roster. Even with his strikeout numbers down this year, Strahm has proven to be a deep roto format option, but his injury likely eliminates any remaining season-long fantasy intrigue that he had in 2020.--Jesse Borek
