7 years agoSan Diego Padres relief pitcher Matt Strahm (knee) is scheduled to make back-to-back rehab appearances next week with the hope being that he could return to the major league bullpen shortly. Strahm has missed all season after coming back from a torn patellar tendon. Currently the Padres plan to use Strahm in a relief role, however, he has experience starting and could be moved into the rotation if Bryan Mitchell continues to struggle. Strahm has a 2.80 ERA in the bullpen compared to a 7.71 ERA as a starter, so he won't be on the fantasy radar when he returns.--Dan Fappiano
