6 years agoCincinnati Red starting pitcher Matt Wisler has been traded to the San Diego Padres for right-handed pitching prospect Diomar Lopez. Wisler was placed on waivers last week but was out of minor league options, so he will have to report to the Padres 25-man roster. The 26-year-old was originally drafted by the Padres in 2011 before getting traded to Atlanta in 2015 and then to Cincinnati last season. He's appeared in 85 games since 2015, recording a 16-23 record with a 5.14 ERA and measly 6.4 K/9.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
