Matthew Boyd Set To Visit Orthopedic Surgeon
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd (left elbow strain) will see Dallas orthopedic surgeon Dr. Keith Meister. "He'll get further evaluations and opinions and see what's next," said manager A.J. Hinch. Boyd missed more than two months this summer due to left arm discomfort before returning in late August. He made two outings before landing on the injured list again. Through 15 starts, the southpaw is 3-8 with a 3.89 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and .255 OBA. This latest injury could bring an end to Boyd's season. You can safely drop him from your fantasy roster.
