3 years agoSan Francisco Giants left-hander Matthew Boyd (elbow) continues to throw off a mound twice a week and is making good progress. Boyd had elbow surgery last September, and the Giants knew when they signed him to a one-year deal that he wouldn't be ready this year until sometime in June. The 31-year-old southpaw looks to be doing well in his rehab, though, but fantasy managers in mixed leagues can continue to ignore him for now. In 15 starts for the Detroit Tigers in 2021, Boyd had a 3.89 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 67 strikeouts and 23 walks in 78 2/3 innings.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
