Matthew Boyd Throws Two Innings In Latest Rehab Start

2 years agoSeattle Mariners left-hander Matthew Boyd (elbow) allowed two earned runs on two hits while walking none and striking out four in two innings pitched in his latest minor league rehab outing for Triple-A Tacoma on Friday. In his three outings so far with Tacoma, Boyd has allowed two earned runs on three hits while walking one and striking out seven in just four innings pitched. The 31-year-old southpaw was acquired from the San Francisco Giants at the Aug. 2 trade deadline, but he hasn't pitched in the majors in 2022 after having flexor tendon surgery last September. Based on his outings in the minors, it looks like the Mariners will use him in relief when he's ready to make his season debut in Seattle, so he'll be pretty useless in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
