Max Fried Earns Opening Day Nod
3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried has earned the Opening Day start against the Cincinnati Reds. The 28-year-old lefty earned the nod over veteran starter Charlie Morton. To be fair, Fried was one of the best starting pitchers during the second half of last season. He finished with a 3.04 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 158/41 K/BB ratio across 165 2/3 in 28 starts. There is no reason to believe Fried will regress at all, so fantasy managers should feel comfortable with him right away.
