3 years agoAtlanta Braves left-handed pitcher Max Fried (finger) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a blister issue, the team announced on Tuesday. The move is a disappointment for both Braves fans and fantasy managers alike, given that the 27-year-old lefty appeared to be getting better with every start, including his seven-inning performance in Atlanta's 9-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals last Friday. However, it is only anticipated that Fried will miss one start. Right-handed pitcher Kyle Wright has been recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill Fried's spot in the rotation. Wright has only made one appearance for the major league club so far this season, allowing two runs on three hits with one home run and five strikeouts through 4 1/3 innings pitched on April 16.
