Max Fried Reinstated And Starting Thursday
2 years agoThe Atlanta Braves reinstated left-hander Max Fried (concussion) from the seven-day concussion injured list on Thursday and optioned right-hander Freddy Tarnok to Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move. Fried will make his return to the starting rotation on Thursday against the division-rival New York Mets. The 28-year-old southpaw will be making his first big-league start since Aug. 6, so he'll be a little more risky for fantasy managers than usual, especially in a tough matchup. Fried has been pretty solid against the Mets in 2022, though, posting a 3.18 ERA with 16 strikeouts and six walks in 17 innings over three starts. The first-time All-Star has gone 10-4 this year with a sharp 2.60 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 127 K's and 25 walks in 138 1/3 innings over his 22 starts.
