Max Kepler Exits Game With Apparent Injury
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler was removed in the third inning Wednesday’s game after looking uncomfortable running the bases in the second inning. Kepler fouled a ball off of his foot on August 26, and although he’s played in four games since then, his foot may be bothering him again. Fantasy players should treat Kepler as day-to-day for now, but a stint on the injured list is not out of the question and may cost the 27-year-old the rest of the season. Utility player Marwin Gonzalez filled in for Kepler in right field on Wednesday, and Gonzalez is likely to take over as the team’s primary right fielder if Kepler misses any time given that third baseman Josh Donaldson back in the lineup.
