Max Kepler Plays Hero On Tuesday
5 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler turned in a heroic performance in a 4-3 win over the Boston Red Sox. Kepler didn't even start the game but he pinch-hit for Marwin Gonzalez and wound up going 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI in the 17-inning game. His solo blast tied the game at 3-3 in the 13th inning and his walk-off single in the 17th gave the Twins the win. Kepler is enjoying a breakout season at the plate, hitting .279 with 18 homers, 49 runs, 49 RBI, and one steal. He has developed into a starting-quality fantasy outfielder in all formats.
