7 years agoWashington Nationals starter Max Scherzer had another stellar outing on Sunday, but earned a no-decision when his team was unable to get anything going against Philadelphia starter Jake Arrieta. Scherzer struck out an astonding 15 Phillies in 6 1/3 innings, allowing five hits and two walks. That's what happens when you insist on batting six righties in a lineup against him. He now carries a 1.74 ERA and 0.85 WHIP on the season and is the undisputed best pitcher in baseball. It'll be a battle of the aces in his next start when he takes on Zack Greinke and the Diamondbacks in Arizona on Friday.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
