Max Scherzer Fans Nine, Earns Win Monday
2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Max Scherzer was locked in for Monday's 4-1 win over the Braves, earning his sixth win of the season. The veteran pitched 7 innings, allowing a single run on three hits (including a solo home run) and no walks with nine strikeouts. Scherzer has now made two starts since returning from the injured list and hasn't missed a beat. He has a 6-1 record with a 2.15 ERA, 79 strikeouts, and 11 walks over 10 starts and 62 2/3 IP this season. Fantasy managers should feel confident that they have their fantasy ace back as long as he can remain healthy. He should get one more start in a favorable matchup at the Cubs before the All-Star break.
