5 years agoThe Washington Nationals put ace Max Scherzer back on the 10-day IL today with a shoulder strain after Mad Max made just one start after missing 19 days with inflammation in the same area. Scherzer had returned from that IL stint last Thursday, in a no-decision against the Rockies, giving up three earned runs over five innings. Retroactive to July 26, Scherzer is first eligible to return on August 5. With a 2.41 ERA and 189 K in 134 innings, fantasy owners can only hope that his return is swift.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
