5 years agoDespite a broken nose and a black eye, Washington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer is preparing to pitch Wednesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies. Scherzer bunted a ball off his face during batting practice Tuesday and was later diagnosed with the broken nose. He's not officially starting yet, but you can see why Scherzer has been a lock to start 30 games every year for a decade. Because of more expected inclement weather in Washington and his price tag, however, Scherzer won't be a great DFS play. He should obviously be started in season-long leagues any time he takes the mound, though.--Nathaniel Green
