6 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer will start for the National League in the 2018 All-Star game. With the game taking place at Nationals Park, Scherzer will be starting in front od his home crowd. That isn't to say he didn't earn it as he has been brilliant in 2018, pitching to a 12-5 record with a 2.41 ERA and a 182/34 K/BB ratio. Scherzer is coming off of back-to-back CY Young awards and he could be well on his way to completing the three-peat in 2018.--Dan Fappiano
