4 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer dominated the Yankees lineup on Saturday, striking out 14 in 7 1/3 innings of work in a 4-3 extra-innings loss. It was a season-high in strikeouts for Scherzer, as he was let down by his offense once again and did not factor into the decision. He allowed one run on two hits and one walk in the outing, lowering his ERA to 2.33 on the season, but wins continue to elude the star pitcher as he is just 2-2 over seven starts. Even without the wins, Scherzer still remains one of the top pitchers in fantasy.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
