3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Max Scherzer threw his first bullpen of the spring on Saturday. Although Scherzer was one of the detractors of the new collective bargaining agreement, he's raring to go for his first season in Queens after signing a three-year, $130 million contract. The 37-year-old right-hander looks to be fully healthy after missing some playoff starts last year with the Los Angeles Dodgers when he became fatigued down the stretch. Scherzer may not be in his prime at this point, but he's still pretty darn good and is being treated as a top-five fantasy starter in drafts. Scherzer and Jacob deGrom give the Mets a fantastic one-two punch in their starting rotation in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
