4 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Max Schrock (calf) exited Monday's contest with a slight calf strain and could be facing a stint on the injured list, according to C. Trent Rosencrans of The Athletic. Schrock was seen limping on the base path on a seventh-inning double, and after a visit with trainers he was removed from the game. The 26-year-old has not shown much at the plate so far, slashing .192/.222/.269 over 11 games entering Monday. However he was having a big day at the plate on Monday prior to the injury, as he was a single short of the cycle having gone 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored. Regardless of whether he hits the IL or not, Schrock can be ignored in most formats for now, but managers in deep mixed and NL-only formats will want to keep an eye on him as a potential riser in the near future.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
