6 years agoHouston Astros catcher Max Stassi (hand) will start behind the plate Thursday against the White Sox. Stassi returns to the lineup after being removed from Tuesday's game after being hit in the hand. X-rays came back negative and Stassi is back in the lineup as the team opens up a series with the White Sox. The Astros are already down one catcher after veteran Brian McCann underwent knee surgery this week, with Tim Federowicz recalled from the minors to take his place. Stassi is in line to be the everyday catcher for the next two months and is slashing .255/.340/.482 this season with seven home runs, 11 doubles and 22 runs batted in.--Joey C - RotoBaller
