Max Stassi Has Cooled Off After Positive Start To Season
7 years agoHouston Astros catcher Max Stassi has really struggled in the month of June, hitting .167 over his last 36 at-bats. He has shaken off an 0-for-16 slide to begin the month to pop a couple home runs over the last week. Up until that slump, Stassi has been a pleasant surprise this season and has played his way into a full-on timeshare with veteran backstop Brian McCann. He still carries a .504 slugging percentage for the season, but whether he can sustain his production over a full season remains a question mark. Stassi will face the Royals left-hander Danny Duffy on Friday for the second time in just about a week. Stassi smacked a three-run homer off of Duffy on June 16, making him an intriguing sleeper play in fantasy at the catching position for Friday.
