6 years agoHouston Astros catcher Max Stassi is expected to become the primary backstop after Brian McCann was placed on the disabled list with knee soreness. Stassi and McCann have been splitting time behind the plate most of the season but this should free up more consistent playing time for Stassi for at least the next week. He currently has a five-game hitting streak and also has seven runs batted in over his last 10 games. He is hitting .341 in the month of May and is hitting .375 through 24 at-bats with runners in scoring position. The catching position in fantasy is the least deep among all the qualifying positions, allowing Stassi to have short-term fantasy appeal for the next several games.--Joey C - RotoBaller
