2 years agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman caught his only target for a five-yard gain in Thursday's preseason finale victory over the Green Bay Packers by a score of 17-10. The Chiefs were without JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (concussion) in this one, but he didn't stay on the field for very long. Hardman had a career year in 2021, catching 59 of his 83 targets for 693 yards and two touchdowns in 17 regular season games (eight starts), but he'll be battling for targets with Smith-Schuster, Valdes-Scantling, tight end Travis Kelce and rookie Skyy Moore this year. It might be impossible to predict when the 24-year-old will have big performances in a Chiefs offense that is expected to spread the ball around more than ever under quarterback Patrick Mahomes.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
