Mecole Hardman, Justin Watson Injured In Week 2 Win

2 years agoKansas City Chiefs wide receivers Mecole Hardman (ankle) and Justin Watson (shoulder) both picked up injuries in Thursday night's 27-24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Hardman caught three of his four targets for 49 yards, while Watson caught both of his targets for 50 yards and his first touchdown since 2019. Hardman had his left ankle taped during the game and was seen limping in the second half, but he finished the game. The 24-year-old was tied for the second-most targets behind only tight end Travis Kelce. It's unclear when Watson picked up his shoulder injury. The good news for both players is that they'll have extra time to heal up before their Week 3 contest on Sept. 25 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
