7 years agoCleveland Indians outfielder Melky Cabrera was designated for assignment on Thursday. With Brandon Guyer (neck) returning from the disabled list, Cabrera was no longer needed. Cabrera signed a minor league deal with Cleveland and struggled to do anything after getting called up, slashing just .207/.242/.293 without a home run in 66 plate appearances. He'll look for another minor league contract, but will struggle to find playing time anywhere. His days of fantasy relevance are very much gone.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
