6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon has hauled in 15 of his 20 targets for 140 yards through the first two weeks of 2018, putting him on pace to shatter his career highs in all three categories. While it may be a bit early to expect him to continue averaging 10 targets for a full season, it's not too soon to realize that the Chargers are committed to involving him heavily in the passing game. Expect another high-volume outing in Week 3 as Gordon faces the Rams. As explosive as the Chargers' offense is, it's reasonable to expect them to have a tough time moving the ball against the Rams' vaunted defense. Look for them to account for this by throwing a lot of short and intermediate passes, many of which will be directed at Gordon. He may not double down on his three-touchdown outing from Week 2, but he should see more than enough work to yield a solid fantasy performance against one of the best defenses in the NFL.--Chris O'Reilly
