Melvin Gordon III Expected To Share Carries To Open Year
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III is reportedly looking at a split of backfield duties with teammate Javonte Williams to begin the 2022 season, per Benjamin Allbright. While Williams is expected to garner a higher percentage of carries, Gordon is set to be in line for goal line opportunities, which should help elevate his fantasy value, particularly in leagues where touchdowns are heavily prioritized. Gordon started all 16 games he appeared in for the Broncos last season, having collected over 900 rushing yards each of the past two years. With at least eight rushing scores on his ledger each season dating back to '16, Gordon boasts a solid floor, even if he isn't RB1 for Denver. Mike Boone can also be expected to factor into carries out of the Broncos' backfield.
