3 years agoFree-agent running back Melvin Gordon III is finalizing a deal to re-sign with the Denver Broncos, according to a source. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. The two-time Pro Bowler with the Los Angeles Chargers had 1,904 total yards and 20 touchdowns for the Broncos the last two years, and the 29-year-old will likely continue to split the backfield with young running back Javonte Williams in 2022. Williams is clearly the future in the backfield in Denver, but it could be another frustrating year for fantasy managers with Gordon and Williams most likely sharing backfield duties yet again. If the Broncos go with a near-even split yet again, both RBs will have their fantasy upside capped as RB2 options, at best.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
