Melvin Gordon III - Week 16 Outlook for Fantasy Football
3 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III (hip, thumb) has been cleared to play in Week 16 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Gordon has produced more fantasy points than impressive rookie Javonte Williams because he's scored more touchdowns (seven rushing, two receiving), but Williams has gained more yards on the ground on four fewer carries. Both backs saw 15 carries in last week's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, but Williams was on the field for 41 snaps compared to Gordon's 30. If game script allows, the Broncos figure to lean heavily on their ground game with quarterback Drew Lock under center, and Gordon will keep his low-end RB2 value against the 25th-ranked Raiders run defense this weekend.
