5 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Merrill Kelly struck out 10 in a 7-1 win over the New York Mets on Sunday. Only a Wilson Ramos home run in the second inning caused any trouble as Kelly allowed just six hits in 7 2/3 innings without a walk. The 30-year-old rookie worked his ERA down to 4.41 and his record up to 5-6 in 12 starts. He has struck out 55 and walked 23 in 67 1/3 innings. Kelly could be worth a stream in mixed leagues for his next start at the Toronto Blue Jays, but is generally an NL-only option. More starts like Sunday's could change that.--Nathaniel Green
