3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Merrill Kelly allowed four runs — three earned — on eight hits and two walks while striking out six over 6 1/3 innings of work in an 8-3 loss to the Dodgers. It was yet another quality start for Kelly, who has now recorded one in five of his last eight starts. He got off to a rough start this year, but he's recorded his best numbers of the season in the month of July, where he's gone 3-1 with a 3.55 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 29 strikeouts in 38 innings of work. He'll look to keep things rolling his next time out against the Giants.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
