6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Merrill Kelly gave up one run in 5 1/3 innings to earn his third win of the season Wednesday versus the Yankees. Kelly was cruising in this one until the sixth when he gave up a home run and a double before getting the hook. Fortunately for him, the bullpen was able to protect the lead. Despite the strong start, Kelly only struck out two batters. His 21.1 percent strikeout rate and 9.4 percent walk rate will limit his fantasy upside in the long term. However, the 30-year old rookie could be a decent streamer for his approaching two-start week at Tampa Bay and Atlanta.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
