4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Merrill Kelly struck out a career-high 12 batters on Thursday but took the loss in a 3-2 Dodgers' win. Despite the loss, Kelly earned the quality start as he allowed three runs on six hits over seven innings of work. After a rough start to the season, Kelly has started looking better on the mound through four starts in May, posting a 3.65 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 24 2/3 innings of work. He should be a solid matchup-dependent streaming option going forward in most formats.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
