3 years agoThe New York Mets added four players to the 40-man roster Friday, protecting shortstop Ronny Mauricio, third baseman Mark Vientos, and pitchers Jose Butto and Adam Oller from the Rule 5 draft. Mauricio and Vientos are each notable prospects, but Mauricio's future with the club is in question with Francisco Lindor entrenched at shortstop for the next decade. A position switch could be in the offing, or he could be moved to another franchise in a trade. It's very possible that each of these players could debut in 2022, though none are likely to make a significant fantasy impact.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
