7 years agoWith news emerging that the New York Mets may be speaking to the Miami Marlins about catcher J.T. Realmuto, we now know who they aren’t talking to. According to Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News, the Amazins haven’t reached out to the Boston Red Sox or Tampa Bay Rays about catchers Blake Swihart or Wilson Ramos, respectively. Depending on price, either could make sense for a team that just lost their first and second backstops on the depth chart. However, it doesn’t sound as if the Mets are really considering either one and instead may be focusing their attention on the Marlins and Realmuto. Stay tuned, as rumors regarding the Mets catcher saga are far from over.--John Smith
