Mets Hopeful Carlos Carrasco Can Return In July
4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (hamstring) has restarted his throwing program. Carrasco, currently on the 60-day injured list, has started throwing off of flat ground again. While it is not a true bullpen session off of the slope of a pitching mound, it is a step in the right direction. The Mets reportedly remain optimistic that he can return in July. There remains no firm timeline for Carrasco's return, so fantasy managers should continue to temper expectations given the continuous setbacks and delays in his recovery. Acquired from the Cleveland Indians in the offseason, Carrasco has yet to throw a pitch in a Mets uniform. If and when he returns, he will be a welcome sight to the Mets and fantasy managers, who have been waiting patiently for any production from him.
