4 years agoThe New York Mets and Miami Marlins have had their contest Thursday postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within the Mets’ organization. One player and one staff member with New York has tested positive so far, which likely means that there are more cancellations to come for the Mets over the weekend. The club’s starting rotation was in shambles entering play Thursday with former closer Seth Lugo set to start; now, the Mets will presumably have time to reshuffle their staff, although the scope of how widespread the infections are remains to be seen. Owners with Mets or Yankees players in season-long formats will want to look elsewhere over the coming days.--Jesse Borek
