4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard (elbow) will be evaluated on Wednesday after exiting his rehab start early on Tuesday night, according to Tim Britton of The Athletic. Syndergaard departed his start on Tuesday after one inning with what was originally described as "soreness" in his right elbow, but manager Luis Rojas classified it late Tuesday night as "more like discomfort" in his elbow, adding that "no one's overly concerned" about the issue. While managers will still hold their breath until the results of tomorrow's evaluation, it appears they can let out a small sigh of relief that this likely won't be a significant setback for Syndergaard. If there's no major flags that are raised from the evaluation Wednesday, Syndergaard should remain on track to return from Tommy John surgery sometime next month.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
