Mets Still Trying To Acquire Josh Harrison
7 years agoIf you’re sick of hearing rumors about the New York Mets trying to acquire a second baseman this offseason, you’re not alone. Those rumors aren’t going away anytime soon, as it’s been reported that although the Mets are still trying to acquire infielder Josh Harrison from the Pittsburgh Pirates, the free agency route is more likely. It’s been rumored previously that outfielder Brandon Nimmo would need to be sent back to Pittsburgh in a deal, but the Mets have balked on his inclusion. It’s beginning to sound more and more likely that a free-agent second baseman such as Neil Walker or Eduardo Nunez will end up manning the position in Queens in 2018.
