4 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Michael Brantley (wrist) was forced to leave Saturday's game against the Athletics early after getting hit by a pitch on his right wrist. Brantley initially remained in the game but was pulled before his next at-bat in the contest. Fortunately, the postgame X-rays came back negative- and the veteran outfielder is considered day-to-day, though it wouldn't be surprising to see the Astros take the cautious approach and give him the day off on Sunday. If Brantley is out of the lineup, expect Chas McCormick, who filled in for him on Saturday, to get the start in left.--Tim Capurso
