5 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Michael Brantley is having his worst month of the season offensively heading into the final week of the season. Over his last 17 games, Brantley is slashing only .177/.257/.274 with only two extra-base hits. The team has tried to give the veteran some days off here and there to rejuvenate him as they prepare for a playoff run. It is a disappointing end to a fantastic season and Brantley enters Tuesdays action slashing .315/.377/.504 with 21 home runs, 39 doubles, 86 runs batted in and 87 runs scored. Through 559 at-bats this season, the veteran slugger has struck out only 65 times.--Joey C - RotoBaller
