Michael Carter Donning No-Contact Jersey Thursday
3 years agoNew York Jets rookie running back Michael Carter (concussion) had a no-contact jersey on during the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday, so it looks as though he might be a limited participant. Carter didn't practice on Wednesday after suffering a concussion in the Week 17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the Jets have been optimistic that he'll clear the league's concussion protocols and be able to play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills. The 22-year-old had three carries for 54 yards and could've been in line for a big game last week before his head injury. Although Tevin Coleman is back from the COVID-19 list, Carter could be New York's featured back this weekend if he's cleared on Friday.
